Party with the Pros in St. Louis
The 2013 Party With the Pros Tournament takes place April 11-14 in the vibrant city of St. Louis, Missouri. While this is the 4th year St. Louis has hosted a Tier 1 event, this year it also serves as a regional qualifier for amateurs to advance to the 2013 USAR 46th EKTELON National Singles tournament taking place in Fullerton, California, in May. Ektelon Tournament of Champions: Revival Supports Veterans
Tier 1 racquetball has made its way back to Portland, Oregon for the Ektelon IRT Tournament of Champions April 25-28 at the Multnomah Athletic Center (MAC). A few months back I wrote about a typical day on the court, revealing some of my on-court secrets. Today, I’m going to share a typical day of training outside the court.
Concentration and Focus
Ideally, you want to get into a state of total concentration and focus on the court because that is when you play your best and develop a winning game. Concentration is total awareness, giving your undivided or fixed attention to the game. Focus is the narrowing of concentration onto a specific thought, idea, or object to a central point. In other words, you concentrate on the game and focus on the ball and your opponent.
