Aimee Ruiz Joins the IRT as Social Media Manager

June 27, 2019, Alexandria, VA – The Tour is pleased to announce that Aimee Ruiz of ABR Communications has been brought on to manage the social media accounts of the IRT.

Ruiz, of Whitehouse Station, NJ has been hired by the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) to increase the visibility of the sport to all fans. Ruiz will aim to get every racquetball fan, even the ones who don’t know they’re fans yet, more involved in all the action. Also, Ruiz wants to show the value of having a social media presence to partners of the IRT. “I would like to begin promoting not only our Tour partners on social media but also all of the IRT events. Social media is one of the fastest ways to spread the word about events, why someone should host an event, the value of an event and social media will help bring that to the forefront.” Ruiz said.

Ruiz is all too familiar with racquetball. She is an 11x US Qualifying Doubles Champion and has been on the US National Team 11x. She’s been playing racquetball for 30+ years and will bring the knowledge of being a racquetball player and knowing the game to help relate with the racquetball fan base.

ABR Communications has been in business since 2015, has multiple clients in the sports industry, and also specializes in working with local businesses in her area. Before starting ABR Communications, Ruiz was the Communications Manager at Ektelon for five years.

“Aimee will help grow our exposure of the Tour by taking over the social media duties and continuing to increase our viewership on our online platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc. The fact that Aimee not only knows social media, but also knows the sport and the players is a no brainer for us, and we look forward to starting the 2019-2020 with Aimee on our team.” IRT CEO Mike Grisz said.
