IRT Releases 2nd Half of the 2019-2020 Season Schedule

September 16, 2019 – Alexandria, VA – The IRT is pleased to release the schedule for the 2nd half of the season which begins in 2020. Under new management for less than a year, the IRT is proud to have two international Grand Slam/Tier 1 events on the schedule, with an overall increase from 9 to 14 this season!

Here is what the second half of the season is shaping up to be:

January 17-19, 2020 | Longhorn Open– For the first time, the Longhorn Open will be a Tier 1! Located in the middle of Austin, on the campus of the University of Texas, the Longhorn Open boasts great food, great competition, and a great venue. This tournament is in high demand, selling out in 11 minutes last year with 375 participants and over 150 on the waitlist. Check out the Facebookpage for signup details!

January 23-26, 2020 | 42nd St. Lewis Drug Pro/Am – You read that correctly, this is the 42ndyear this tournament is being held! This tournament has a long tradition of bringing in the best players from all over to compete for almost $30k in prize money in many different divisions, not just for the pros.  

January 30-February 2, 2020 | Lou Bradley Memorial– The Lou Bradley Memorial has been a long time IRT event, but making the jump to a Tier 1 this year has everybody excited!  The atmosphere will be electric, and if you’ve never had a reason to visit Sun Prairie, Wisconsin in the Winter, this is it!

March 12-15, 2020| 2020 Shamrock Shootout– They are planning another great event at the iconic Glass Court Swim & Fitness Club in Chicago as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the largest event in the Chicago area.  They’ll have Pro Doubles as well as a deep amateur draw with $2,300 in Men’s Open prize money in addition to the Pro Singles purse!

April 23-26, 2020 | Syosset, NY– Save this date! We are in the process of finalizing a Tier 1 Event in New York this weekend, so keep checking our website for more details!

April 30-May 3, 2020 | Pro Doubles Plus Singles – The IRT is returning to the DAC (Denver Athletic Club)! Its inaugural event last year featured some amazing pro doubles matches, and this year will be having Pro Singles! Thank you to Jim Hiser and his team for bringing us back!

May 13-16, 2020 | Open Bolivia American Iris – Wow, the people in Bolivia know how to put on a great show! We are thrilled to be heading back this year, along with the LPRT. Can Conrrado Moscoso repeat in Pro Singles & Doubles with partner Roland Keller? You will have to tune in and watch LIVEto find out!

June 18-21, 2020 | Black & Gold – To close out the Season, the IRT is headed to Chihuahua, Mexico! It’s been since 2011 since a Tier 1 in Mexico, and they are known for having a large number of strong high-level players, so we have a feeling this event might have one of our largest Tier 1 draws to date!

This closes out our Tier 1/Grand Slam Events for the 2019-2020 Season! It’s an exciting time for the IRT, and we hope you join us for the ride!
