IRT Heading To Sarasota


Washington, MO. April 16, 2018– The International Racquetball Tour (IRT) and all of their top athletes are set to compete at the Sarasota Bath & Racquet Club in April!
The 2018 Florida IRT Regional Championships are just around the corner, and the IRT is ready to showcase the sport’s top players in the world. From April 26-29, the Tour will be hosted at the Sarasota Bath & Racquet Club for the second to last Tier 1 tournament of the 2017-2018 season. Catch the nation’s greatest racquetball athletes playing at the highest level of competition this April!
The top-eight ranked players on Tour are expected to be down in Florida for this big tournament, including #4, Alejandro Landa, who resides in El Paso, Texas. Landa is red hot in the second half of the IRT season, with two Tier 1 victories to his name already. The #1 ranked player on Tour, Rocky Carson, from Landera Ranch, California will be at the Regional Championships and will be looking to make his first final of 2018.

The most dominant player in the world, Kane Waselenchuk, residing in Austin, Texas will be back in action for the first time since January! Waselenchuk suffered an injury to his knee that his kept him off the court for several months, but looks to pick up right where he left off this April. Former top-five pro, Shane Vanderson, residing in Tampa, Florida, is included in the draw as well. It will be an interesting weekend for Vanderson, as he hasn’t competed on Tour in over four years.
