IRT No. 7-ranked Jansen Allen joins Ektelon
DALLAS — International Racquetball Tour No. 7-ranked Jansen Allen of Dallas, a gold and silver medalist performance for Team USA at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, joins gold-medal winning teammate Jose Rojas by signing a two-year contract with Ektelon.
Allen made his Ektelon debut at racquetball’s premier tournament, the 2015 UnitedHealthcare US Open Racquetball Championships in Minneapolis, Minn.
“Ektelon has long been the premier name in racquetball,” Allen said. “I am excited about the opportunity to be a representative for their industry-leading products and look forward to pursuing my IRT goals with their backing.”
Allen, who won the gold medal with Rojas on his 26th birthday, has been a member of the U.S. Racquetball team for three years. He was the national mixed doubles in 2014 and 2015 and the national team qualifying doubles champion in 2013 with Tony Carson and this year with Rojas. He and Rojas won the gold in doubles, while he earned a silver medal in team competition.

He carries himself well on and off the court and is willing to put in the work with junior programs to help hone the skills of younger players, which in the long run helps our sport continue to thrive.”
Allen attended Colorado State University on a racquetball scholarship. He graduated with a BS and BA in business management and economics/finance, cum laude. He received his master’s degree in business administration in May 2014.

“I started playing racquetball at the age of 4 with my brother Jordan and my parents, Debra and Jim, at the local YMCA in Corsicana, Texas, where my dad has been my mentor and instructor through most of my career,” Allen said.
