IRT Pros Return to Chicagoland: 30th Annual Shamrock Shootout, Ben Croft Homecoming

Chicago Tournament Ben Croft, the “bad boy” of racquetball who is currently ranked fifth on the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) understands the importance of keeping an even emotional keel as he prepares for the stretch run of the 2014/15 IRT schedule. But the player known around racquetball circles as the “human crash test dummy” for his willingness to sacrifice his body diving to retrieve opponent’s shots, readily admits it will be difficult to contain himself when he returns to the Chicago area for the 30th Annual Shamrock Shootout March 12-15 at the Glass Court Swim and Fitness Club in Lombard, IL.

March Rankings Review: Excitement Builds as Season End Draws Closer

Cropped_Kane_Ben_KenFife_USOPEN_2014_200While results differed from last years for many players at the Tier 1 event in Sarasota, FL this past weekend, there is little movement at the top of the rankings. Rocky Carson still clings to a small 72 point advantage over Kane as they were 2 of only 3 players ranked in the top 16 to repeat their result from last season, which saw Kane convincingly take the title over Rocky in 3 quick games. While a much more contested battle occurred this year, Kane still emerged victorious in 3 games.
