MRF Partners with The Valor Game
The Military Racquetball Federation is teaming with The Valor Games to present an outdoor racquetball rehabilitation demonstration for veterans and Wounded Warriors in Morrisville, NC. The Valor Games brings together disabled veterans and wounded, ill or injured service members and engages them in three days of Paralympic sport competition. In addition to the Southeast regional event in Morrisville, other Valor Games events will be held in Chicago, San Antonio, and San Diego.
An outdoor racquetball court will be constructed through a grant from The Home Depot Foundation and the help of Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer force. If you would like to assist, there are three ways to get involved. (1) On Wednesday, May 21st, Team Depot will have at least 50 members of its associate-led volunteer force to construct the court. You can help with this project either building it or helping with disassembling and storing the court when event is over. (2) There is anticipated to be over 250 wounded warriors participating in this event and we could use your help your with the check-in process on Thursday, May 22nd. (3) We will need experienced racquetball players to help teach fundamental racquetball techniques for the wounded warriors on Thursday, May 22nd from 8:00am – 12:00pm.
If you would like to be involved and assist with this major MRF project or would simply like more information, please contact Steven Harper at mailto:[email protected]l.com or (757) 831-8458. Join us to support our heroes for a day of racquetball and fun!
