Racquetball’s original grand slam promises to take on the aura of the legendary shootout at the OK Corral. At one end of dusty Main Street stands Kane Waselenchuk, reigning king of racquetball, the top draw, the man everyone is gunning for. At the other end, a gang of hungry racquet slingers, each hoping to make a name by knocking off the recognized top dog of the racquetball world.

Lenny Estrada says he remembers his younger days as a “typical racquetball gym rat” in the 1980s while playing at a club in Anaheim owned by RO Carson, Rocky Carson’s father. “I worked there, so I got free court time. I played every day if I could. It was like I lived there,” said Estrada, 51, who now lives in Bend, Oregon. “In fact, I remember when Rocky’s mother was pregnant with him. That’s how far back I go with the Carson family.” Read More: Lenny Estrada
All amateur matches are two out of three games; the first two games are to 15 and the tiebreaker to 11. You receive three 30-second time-outs in a 15-point game and two 30-second time-outs in a tiebreaker. The pros play three out of five to 11 and receive only a singe one-minute timeout in a game. There is more than one reason to take a time-out.
