The men’s professional International Racquetball Tour (IRT) rankings are posted, and the shift in positions will have a significant impact on tournament seeding, as early as the UnitedHealthcare US Open Championships October 3-7, 2012. With Alvaro Beltran’s 5-game win over Ben Croft in the Ghost of Georgetown Kansas City IRT ProAm Semifinals September 13-16, he’s now both ranked and will be seeded #4 when he hits Minneapolis next week.

That top-four spot is a big deal, as it keeps him out of the “flip,” so he faces an opponent ranked #5-#8 in the quarters instead of a top-four contender, which includes the 7-time and defending Champion, Kane Waselenchuk, who has become known for breaking records, including one of the longest winning streaks in sports. The Championships are already among the most anticipated events all 2012-2013 IRT Sesaon—and it just got more interesting. You can watch the pro action on the IRTNetwork.com and follow the results on the IRT-Tour.com website.
