which is lead by top International Racquetball Tour (IRT) pro Jose Rojas. As reported by the IRT last April, Ektelon Promotions Manager, Aimee Ruiz, has been building Team Adrenalin to feature some of the top up-and-coming players in racquetball, bringing new energy and excitement to the sport as they transition from successful junior and collegiate careers to the professional level.

First up is Scott Davis out of Southern California. When you first meetScott you may think he is very quiet in his demeanor, but fear not, he hits lethal photon drive serves throughout the court. Scott had the tournament of his racquetball career so far this summer by making it all the way to the finals of the Men’s Pro Singles Division at the 2011 WOR Championships. Look for Scott to be one of the favorites heading into the WOR 3WB Outdoor Event is Las Vegas next month. Also look for Scott to make a splash at a few west coast IRT Stops this season.

Alongside Scott on Team Adrenalin is his younger brother, Brandon “Baby” Davis. If you think Scott is shy, then the opposite applies when it comes to Brandon. Brandon is known for his quickness on the court, gets to every ball and So Cal Style to his game. Not to be outdone by his older Brother Scott, Brandon also had a great showing at the 2011 WOR Champs, making it to the Quarters of the Men’s Pro Singles and Semis of the Men’s Pro Doubles while teaming up with fellow Ektelon player Mike Orr. Brandon also had a solid indoor season finishing off by winning the Men’s Elite Division at the Ektelon Nationals in Fullerton, CA this past May.

Ektelon is extremely proud to have both Davis brothers back on the Team, they fit our vision and future direction perfectly as we embark on an incredible year as a company with “The New Ektelon” I have known both Scott and Brandon since they began playing the game and it has been really great getting to know them as friends and watching them grow as players. They come from an incredibly supportive family and are overall great young men, which again makes them a perfect addition to our Team!” states Ektelon Indoor Sales Rep, Mike Orr.
To round out the new additions, we’ve signed Ryan Meyer out of Sacramento, CA. Although a bit of a later bloomer, Ryan aged 24, has seen his game grow this past year, collecting numerous IRT Qualifying matches and making the main draw in three stops. Ryan has a great mix of major power with great racquet skills and a nice court sense. Ryan’s training schedule includes driving to Stockton, CA twice a week to work with the Team Adrenalin players, led by Coach Dave Ellis at In-Shape Sport. Like Scott and Brandon, Ryan will play the west coast IRT Stops and as many others as possible.
Ektelon wants to welcome Scott, Brandon, and Ryan to the team and we look forward to following them on their racquetball endeavors!
